Dear Reader,

You will have recently received a copy of issue 52 of our magazine and we regret that our usual covering letter was not included due to a mailing error at the point of distribution. We do however want to thank you once again for your very welcome feedback on publication of the magazine and trust that you will continue to be inspired by its contents. We appreciate that some of the issues raised can be challenging and thought-provoking, especially at such a difficult time in global relations.

In issue 52 you will see have seen that we highlight collaborative interfaith activities; and feature inspirational signs of peace and hope, especially giving focus to the recent visit of Pope Leo XIV to Africa, with a stunning image of his meeting with the Rector of the Great Mosque of Algiers, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Mamoun Al -Qasimi al -Hassani.

Distributing the magazine to schools, colleges and universities, libraries and chaplaincies is extremely important to us to encourage understanding and dialogue especially amongst young people and other interested parties. We are pleased to include a number of excellent centres of education in our database, and interfaith organisations that promote vital dialogue and action. Any advice you can give for future mailings will be always be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to the future we invite contributions to issue 53 addressing the two themes 1.RITES OF PASSAGE: INITIATION 2. FESTIVE FOODS. As always we welcome submissions of any material relevant to our aim of promoting inter-religious and inter-cultural understanding and appreciation.

Many recipients will be subscribers and/or donors, or the receivers of a gift from a friend or relative. We thank you all most sincerely for your support which is invaluable as we are not in receipt of any form of external funding. We do not have the capacity to remind readers that their subscription is due and we would be grateful if you would take care to renew your subscription when necessary. Please see a subscription and/or donation form featured on page 31/32 or visit our website www.faithinitiative.co.uk for payment options, including PayPal and credit/debit card.

It is important that we know that the magazine is being distributed to areas where it best serves as an educational resource. We would ask therefore that when the magazine is no longer useful for your purposes you pass it on to interested parties, or place it in a communal area where you feel it will provide information and insight to others.

With all good wishes for your health and happiness, and the promotion of peace.

Yours sincerely,
Heather Wells : Editor
